Four Vineyards. Two Varieties.
One MISSION.
Southern Light Vineyards makes small batch Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in our Healesville winery, crafted with fruit from four distinct vineyards – three in the Yarra Valley, one on the Mornington Peninsula – with a single ethos: to express the best of these iconic grape varieties.

Our wines are made in limited quantities through meticulous selection from vineyard through to winemaking. Only the best parcels progress to bottle, ensuring each Southern Light Vineyards wine is a true and uncompromising expression of place.
Diverse Expressions of
Chardonnay & Pinot Noir
Southern Light Vineyards was envisioned from the beginning as a long-term, multi-vineyard project with each vineyard producing only Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes expressive of their unique conditions.
Our single vineyard wines from Ghostgum, on the Mornington Peninsula, will soon be joined by wines from two of our Yarra Valley vineyards, Lightfall and Seven Slopes of Rising, adding new layers of expression and diversity to the collection.
Dawn Chorus, our Upper Yarra Valley vineyard planted in 2021, was selected for its potential to grow distinctive Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and will add another layer of expression to our range in the near future.
Grape Growers & Winemakers
Every stage of each vintage, from budburst to bottle, is controlled by our experienced vineyard and winemaking teams. Headed by Viticulturist and Winemaker, Anthony Fikkers, our mission is to produce the best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from each of our vineyards.

our dawn chorus
Southern Light Vineyards marks a new chapter in a family’s more than half-century relationship with wine.
“From the start of my journey in wine, this has been the dream. It’s taken a long time but I’m lucky to join with our team and be part of the first brave steps of Southern Light Vineyards. This project is a new beginning – our Dawn Chorus.”
– John Valmorbida, founder of Joval Wines
